A Night With Neil Diamond at Alexa Park LV

The legendary Rob Garrett’s “King of Diamonds” Neil Diamond tribute Las Vegas residency keeps going strong in the “MODERN SHOWROOMS” at Alexis Park Las Vegas Hotel.

Music icon Neil Diamond is one of the greatest and most admired singer/songwriters in Neil Diamond tribute Las Vegas kids under 12 allowed contemporary pop-rock music history.

More than just being one of the best-selling and most successful live artists ever, he’s also created and performed the music that defined generations — including some of the most unforgettable songs on the planet.

In the beginning of 2018, shortly before his 77th year, Neil Diamond announced his retirement from performing after being affected by Parkinson’s.

However, Diamond’s live performance legacy continues to be preserved for audiences worldwide through longtime Las Vegas performer Rob Garrett, widely regarded as the top Neil Diamond tribute artist.

Ask Siri “who is the best Neil Diamond tribute artist,” and you’ll always hear Rob Garrett.

Like his idol, Rob Garrett was a Brooklyn, New York native.

In May 1974, his parents moved the family from New York City to the Las Vegas Valley, where, in 1976, he witnessed his first live Neil Diamond show when Diamond made his attendance-breaking Las Vegas debut at the Aladdin Hotel’s “Theater for the Performing Arts” in July 1976.

Garrett went on to see him multiple times across the country—right up until Diamond’s final U.S. concert at the Los Angeles Forum on August 12, 2017.

In 1980, Garrett started his own band, “Rock n Roll Heaven,” and enjoyed a long and successful run in Las Vegas and across the nation before transitioning from lead singer of a cover band to a full-time tribute performer dedicated to one of his boyhood inspirations.

In 1995, Garrett was selected by the legendary Paul Revere to portray Neil Diamond in the “Legends in Concert” show in Honolulu, Hawaii.

What was meant to be a limited run turned into a long-term hit show.

By August 1998, Garrett was back in Vegas and continued to perform with “Legends” for another two years before deciding to create his own tribute production.

He began a busy tour circuit, building a large and loyal following along the way—earning the title “King of Diamonds Neil Diamond Tribute.”

He continues to perform to sold-out venues nationwide, often in venues that typically host major artists.

Garrett has also earned several honors, including “Male Tribute Artist of the Year.”

“Since he (Diamond) announced his retirement, I’ve felt a strong sense of responsibility to keep his legacy alive for future generations. It’s something I never get tired of doing,” he said.

On May 19th officially proclaimed the date “Rob Garrett Day,” commemorating Rob’s 50 years as a Las Vegas resident and 44 years as a professional Vegas performer.

Now in 2025, Garrett celebrates 45 years as an active Las Vegas entertainer, with the last 30 years devoted solely to paying tribute to the now-retired Neil Diamond.

It has been said that no other tribute artist is so closely identified with the original performer as Garrett, who has performed his show at more Las Vegas venues than any other tribute artist.

Since the June closing of “A Beautiful Noise” (the Broadway jukebox musical based on Diamond’s life story), Rob Garrett’s “King of Diamonds” show has become the only active Neil Diamond tribute production in America.

Alexis Park Hotel Las Vegas is located at 375 E. Harmon Ave., about a quarter mile from Paradise Road.
